Laundry room makeover

BEFORE:

AFTER:

After six long months I am excited to finally say the laundry room is almost complete. I've had fun doing a laundry room makeover because the space is small & not too overwhelming. Since I happen to spend much of my day in that room I'm feeling better about the space. It's a little cutesy but isn't a laundry room allowed to be that way. The antique man & woman plates were one of my fun thrift purchases as was the wallpaper & served as the inspiration. I did a quick little magnet board project last week but ended ripping the ribbon off to make a new design so all of the boards look like one big board. Now I have a place to put all of my fabric swatches and lists. Anyway, except for the need of base boards & cabinet hardware we'll call this one good (except Santa if you are reading pls. bring me a new washer & dryer). Did you notice the fun burlap & chalkboard tags labeling the baskets....I love them...in fact if you like them too you may want to stay tuned.....

I'm excited because on deck is a chic makeover done by a new blogging friend on a budget of $250. You won't want to miss this one.

I really love what you did with a boring hollowcore door! I'm cursed with a houseful of the same walnut hollow doors. Did you cut that molding? Nothing like black paint to make something chic. Enjoy!

Ok, when do you find the time to do all of this fabulous stuff??? And don't tell me nap time, because my son never naps long enough for me to even do a load of laundry, much less makeover the place! It looks amazing, great job. You have wonderful and inspiring taste.

e.e. - funny....no this project actually took me over 6 months to complete. I wish I could have gotten it done during a few nap times:-)

so genius. I love how you put the magnet boards all together. I would want to do laundry all day long if my laundry room looked like that.

It turned out so cute. I love your color choice and it's so fun to see you use all of your thrift store treasures. Way to go. The baseboards and hardware will just give it that finishing touch that makes it look like it's straight from a magazine.

I love love love it. I can't believe you actually hung your awesome vintage wallpaper. Beautiful. By the way, I've been making some changes and need you to come teach me some healthier eating tricks. It has been a while since I let my granola side shine, and there are some new things out there.

Nikki..that striped rug is from IKEA. Really inexpensive too...I want to say $12.00. Not sure if it's still there though.
